What Is an Online Reiki Session? (And Does It Really Work?)

If you’ve ever been curious about Reiki but wondered,
“Okay… but how can that possibly work online?”
You’re not alone.

It’s probably the first thing people ask me.

And honestly, it’s a fair question.

We’re used to thinking healing has to happen in the same room. Hands-on. In person. Physical.

So the idea of an online Reiki session can sound a little… abstract.

Until you experience it.

Then it makes complete sense.

First — what Reiki actually is (in real life)

Reiki isn’t about pressure or manipulation.

It’s not me “doing” something to you.

It’s about helping your body shift out of stress mode.

Most people who book with me aren’t sick.

They’re:

  • anxious
  • overwhelmed
  • burned out
  • emotionally heavy
  • or just feeling off

Like their system never fully relaxes.

Their body has forgotten how to soften.

Reiki helps your nervous system remember:
“I’m safe. I can rest now.”

And once that happens, the healing starts naturally.

So how can Reiki work online?

Here’s the simplest explanation:

Energy isn’t limited by distance.

You already know this.

You can feel:

  • someone’s mood over the phone
  • tension in a room when you walk in
  • When someone is thinking about you

Connection doesn’t require proximity.

Reiki works the same way.

I’ve had many sessions over Zoom and even just the telephone where people relaxed almost immediately — sometimes even more deeply than in person.

There’s something about being in your own home, wrapped in your own blanket, that lets your body drop its guard faster.

And when the body feels safe, the work goes deeper.

What an online Reiki session with me actually looks like

Let me paint the picture, because this part matters.

Every session starts the same way — whether you’re in my healing room or across the world.

I begin with prayer and intention.

Then I work with my hands and focus on sending Reiki to you using a proxy.

Sometimes that’s:

  • Your name written on paper
  • a chakra layout
  • a small object or symbol
  • or even a simple stuffed toy representing you

It might sound unusual, but it’s just a way for me to concentrate the energy and my attention clearly.

From there, I use Reiki symbols, energetic tools, and techniques I’ve practiced for years.

It’s quiet. Focused. Meditative.

I’m not rushing.

I’m fully with you.

Holding the space for your body to unwind.

What people usually feel

This is my favorite part.

Because it’s always so simple.

After sessions, people often say:

“I feel lighter.”

“Peaceful.”

“Calm and relaxed.”

“Like I just had the best nap of my life.”

Sometimes emotions are released.
Sometimes memories surface.
Sometimes nothing dramatic happens — just a deep, steady sense of ease.

And honestly?

That’s usually the biggest shift.

Reiki flows where it’s needed most.

I’ve learned to trust that.

My own experience with distance Reiki

Before I ever offered online sessions, I received them myself.

And I remember thinking:

“Wow… this is just as strong. Maybe even stronger.”

Because there are fewer distractions.

It becomes almost meditative.

Sometimes I’d feel warmth or heaviness.
Sometimes visions or recall.
Sometimes just stillness.

Every session felt different.

But every session worked.

That’s when I knew:
Distance wasn’t a limitation.

It was just another doorway.

Is online Reiki right for you?

If you’re someone who:

  • feels anxious or overwhelmed
  • struggles to relax
  • lives far away
  • or simply prefers being at home

Online Reiki can be a beautiful option.

You don’t have to drive anywhere.
You don’t have to “perform wellness.”

You just lie down… and receive.

Simple.

Gentle.

Supportive.

If you’re curious, you’re always welcome to try a session and see how it feels for you.

No pressure. Just an experience.

Sometimes the smallest softening creates the biggest change.

What Is Face Reading? Understanding Personality Through the Face

As a trained psychosomatic practitioner — commonly known as a face reader — and someone who was fortunate to study under Hermann Müller, I use facial analysis as a powerful way to understand personality, emotional patterns, natural tendencies, and life experiences.

Face reading is the process of observing and interpreting facial features to better understand how a person thinks, feels, communicates, and moves through the world.

In psychosomatic therapy, the body, mind, and soul are understood as inseparable — one integrated system. Every part of the body–mind is reflected in the face. Through a structured and systematic process, face reading provides insight into the many variations of faces and the personal stories they quietly tell.

Your personal history and temperament are written into your physical characteristics — the shape of your face, the colour of your eyes and hair, the texture of your skin, the structure of your nose, and the fullness of your lips.

Your face is not random.
It is a living map of your experience.

The Psychosomatic Approach to Face Reading

Face reading is taught as part of the Psychosomatic Therapy Process, founded on the life work of Hermann Müller and first developed in 1992.

This work is based on the understanding that improving health and well-being begins with personal responsibility and self-awareness — and with recognizing that the possibilities within us are unlimited when we understand ourselves more deeply.

The Psychosomatic Therapy College delivers professional training internationally in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Canada, and Europe, with programs translated into French and German. Face reading is one of several assessment tools taught alongside body reading, hand reading, and emotional release bodywork.

This approach views the face not as a prediction tool, but as a practical method of understanding personality structure, emotional tendencies, communication styles, and life patterns.

Why Would Someone Want a Face Reading Assessment?

A face reading assessment is a deeply nurturing and insightful experience.

As you begin to understand yourself through your experiences and develop self-acceptance and self-compassion, something shifts. Greater self-awareness often leads to confidence, clarity, and emotional balance.

And something even more meaningful happens.

When you truly understand yourself, you can look into another person’s eyes and easily accept them — with openness, compassion, and without judgment.

At this pivotal time in history, face reading has become an essential tool in communication, leadership, and personal development. In everyday life, success, cooperation, and meaningful relationships grow through deeper understanding and sensitivity toward one another.

First impressions are an unspoken language. They often shape relationships long before words are exchanged.

Rather than reacting from opinions, past experiences, or unconscious patterns, face reading invites you to understand what is truly present — what is quite literally in front of you.

Who Is Face Reading For?

Face reading is ideal for people who are on a path of self-discovery and personal growth.

My clients are often individuals who want to understand themselves more deeply, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and gain clarity about their life direction.

Face reading is not about labeling.
It is about awareness, compassion, and learning to work with your natural strengths.

A Personal Perspective

As a trained psychosomatic practitioner, often referred to as a face reader, and someone who was fortunate to study under Hermann Müller, I receive many interesting requests — from reading online dating profile photos to offering insight during hiring and interview processes.

This work has also quietly supported my role as an international host on our family farm for many years.

Through face reading, I am often able to sense a person very quickly — their temperament, emotional landscape, and natural way of relating. When you understand yourself through your experiences and develop self-acceptance and self-compassion, something changes. You begin to see others more clearly, too.

You can look into another person’s eyes and easily accept them — with openness, compassion, and without judgment.

This sensitivity allows me to meet people where they are, accept them easily, and create an environment where they feel safe, welcomed, and understood.

Many guests have shared that they felt like family, or like an old friend, from the moment they arrived.

The Reconnect Face Reading Session

Reconnect is a face reading and self-awareness session designed to help you reconnect with yourself — your natural strengths, emotional patterns, and inner clarity.

This session is ideal if you are:

  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or your direction
  • Wanting deeper self-understanding and emotional insight
  • Seeking clarity in relationships, communication, or life decisions
  • Ready to develop greater self-acceptance and compassion

During a Reconnect session, we gently explore what your facial features reveal about how you experience the world, how you relate to others, and where your natural strengths and sensitivities lie.

Reconnect is not about diagnosis or prediction.
It is about awareness, compassion, and coming home to yourself.

When you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, communication, and sense of peace naturally begin to shift.

An Invitation to See Yourself More Clearly

Are you willing to look at your own experience of the world —
Not the world as your experience?

Face reading offers a gentle doorway into self-awareness, clearer communication, and deeper understanding of yourself and others.

Sometimes, the answers you’re looking for have been written on your face all along.

Credentials

I am a trained psychosomatic practitioner (commonly referred to as a face reader) and was fortunate to study under Hermann Müller, whose life’s work formed the foundation of the Psychosomatic Therapy Process. My training was completed through the Psychosomatic Therapy College, a health-science-based program that views the body, mind, and soul as one integrated system.

Ready to Reconnect?

If you feel curious, called, or simply ready to understand yourself more deeply, you are warmly invited to experience a Reconnect Face Reading Session.

This is a quiet, compassionate space to explore your natural strengths, emotional patterns, and the way you experience the world — with clarity, kindness, and no judgment.

Reconnect sessions are available in person and online.

A Reiki Session Before an Important Moment

There are moments in life that quietly carry weight.

A job interview.
A first date.
An exam you’ve prepared for but still feel nervous about.
A teenager walking into a business with a resume in hand.
A presentation, a meeting, or a conversation you’ve been putting off.

You don’t have to be in crisis for these moments to feel significant.
And you don’t need a diagnosis to want support.

Sometimes, it’s simply human to feel heavy, unsettled, or a bit anxious when something matters.

This is where Reiki can be a gentle, grounding support — before the moment arrives.

When Nerves Show Up — Even If Life Is Going Well

Most people don’t seek support because something is “wrong.”
They seek support because something is important.

You might notice:

  • a tight chest
  • restless or racing thoughts
  • shallow breathing
  • a knot in your stomach
  • difficulty focusing
  • second-guessing yourself

These responses don’t mean you’re weak or unprepared.
There are signs your nervous system is responding to pressure, anticipation, or responsibility.

Reiki works with the body and nervous system — not by forcing calm, but by allowing the system to settle in its own time.

How Reiki Can Support You Before an Event

A Reiki session before an important moment can support you in subtle but meaningful ways:

  • easing nervous tension
  • quieting mental noise
  • helping you feel more grounded in your body
  • creating space for clarity instead of overwhelm
  • allowing you to approach the moment without pushing or suppressing emotions

People often describe the experience as:

“Feeling centered again.”
“Like my body caught up with my intentions.”
“Calm, but still alert.”

You don’t lose your edge.
You gain steadiness.

Reiki Isn’t Only for Difficult Times

There’s a common belief that Reiki is only for anxiety, depression, burnout, or emotional overwhelm.

While Reiki can absolutely support those experiences, it’s also a powerful tool for everyday life transitions.

Reiki can support:

  • confidence before a job interview
  • calm before a test or exam
  • emotional steadiness before a date
  • Focus before a presentation
  • reassurance before trying something new

It isn’t about fixing you.
It’s about helping your system work with you, not against you.

Reiki Support for Teens and Young Adults

Reiki can be invaluable for teens and young adults who may not yet have the language to express what they’re feeling.

A teen preparing to apply for a job, for example, may feel nervous, self-conscious, unsure of themselves, or pressured to “do it right.”

A Reiki session can support them by:

  • settling the nervous system
  • creating a sense of calm presence
  • helping them feel more confident walking in
  • allowing them to trust themselves in the moment

No talking is required.
No explanation is necessary.
The body responds on its own terms.

What a Session May Feel Like

Every Reiki session is different.

Some people notice deeper, slower breathing, a sense of calm or clarity, feeling more present, emotional steadiness, or improved focus afterward.

Others feel very little during the session but notice subtle shifts later.

All of these experiences are normal.

Meeting Important Moments With More Ease

You don’t need to wait until you’re overwhelmed to seek support.

Sometimes, the most meaningful use of Reiki is before the moment — so you can meet it feeling grounded, capable, and steady.

Life doesn’t ask us to be fearless.
It asks us to show up.

Reiki can support you in doing that — with more ease.

Spiritual Response Technique (SRT): When the Same Issue Keeps Showing Up

Sometimes it’s not one problem — it’s the pattern.

You notice the same issue repeating:

  • with different people, but the same feeling
  • with the same people and the same issue
  • across different areas of your life, showing up in different ways
  • Or you find yourself repeatedly triggered by the same person, for what seems like no clear reason

The story may change, but the emotional charge doesn’t.

That’s often when people begin looking for something deeper — not another strategy or conversation — but a way to address what’s underneath the repetition.

This is where the Spiritual Response Technique (SRT) often comes in.

Why People Book an SRT Session

People don’t usually book SRT because something just started.

They book because something won’t stop.

There’s a quiet realization that:

  • “This keeps happening in my life.”
  • “Different faces, same feeling.”
  • “I’ve done work on this, and it’s still here.”
  • “I don’t understand why this person or situation affects me so strongly.”

At some point, there’s a shift from asking “Why are they doing this to me?”
to asking “What in me is still resonating with this?”

This isn’t about blame.
It’s about ownership.

If you are the center of your life, then what continues to show up around you is giving you information. And the empowering part is this: what you attract, you also can clear.

What an SRT Session Is Like (From the Client’s Side)

One of the most reassuring things about SRT is how simple it is for the client.

You don’t have to get into upsetting or private details.
You don’t need to retell painful stories.
You don’t need to analyze or justify your reactions.

During the session, the practitioner uses a pendulum and a structured series of charts to identify and clear subconscious blocks. These can include vows, inherited patterns, past-life influences, present-life experiences, and beliefs that are no longer serving you — while also activating supportive, positive energy into your system.

The focus isn’t on what someone else did.
It’s on clearing what’s active within you.

From your side, the experience is often quiet and restorative.

You may feel:

  • deeply relaxed
  • sleepy
  • spaced out or slightly foggy

This is normal. Your subconscious mind is doing the work, and your conscious mind doesn’t need to be involved in the details.

The Shift Afterward

After an SRT session, people often notice that something that once felt heavy or triggering suddenly feels neutral.

A situation no longer hooks you the same way.
A person doesn’t have the same charge.
A choice that once felt complicated feels obvious.

There’s often a sense of relief — not because anything outside changed, but because you did.

You may feel:

  • lighter
  • calmer
  • refreshed
  • quietly energized
  • or deeply settled

The most meaningful shift is this:
You feel back in your own center.

Clearing Yourself Is an Act of Power

SRT isn’t about fixing other people or changing the world around you.

It’s about taking responsibility for your inner landscape — and clearing what no longer belongs there.

When you clear yourself, your life responds.

Sometimes clarity comes later.
Sometimes peace comes first.

Both are enough.

If you feel ready to take ownership of a repeating pattern and clear it at the source, you can learn more about the Release Session — SRT + Reiki Soul Clearing on the Energy Healing Services page. Sessions are available online and in person in Northern Alberta.

Reiki for Stress, Anxiety, and That “Off” Feeling You Can’t Quite Name

Sometimes nothing is wrong — but nothing feels right either.

You’re functioning.
You’re doing what needs to be done.
And yet there’s a low-level heaviness, a dull edge, a sense of feeling off that lingers longer than you’d like.

What’s interesting is that many people who book a Reiki session already know it can help — maybe they’ve experienced it before — and yet there’s often a quiet resistance.

Not fear.
Just hesitation.

You tell yourself you’re too busy.
You have things to do.
You’ll go later.
It can wait.

Until something in you decides it can’t.

That Moment of Choosing Support

I see this often.

Someone finally listens to their inner will — not because they’re desperate, but because they’re tired of carrying tension they don’t need to carry anymore.

They show up anyway.

And almost immediately, something shifts.

The breath deepens.
The body softens.
The nervous system exhales.

It’s not dramatic.
It’s subtle — and unmistakable.

What Reiki Often Feels Like

During a Reiki session, people commonly describe a sense of melting — as if their body is finally allowed to rest.

Thoughts slow.
Muscles release.
The constant background hum of stress quiets.

You don’t have to talk through your life story.
You don’t have to explain what’s wrong.

Your system does what it already knows how to do when given the space.

And later — often that night — sleep comes more easily.
Deeper.
More serene.

Not because anything was forced, but because your body finally felt safe enough to let go.

Reiki and the Nervous System

Reiki is often chosen when stress and anxiety have been living in the body for a while.

Not as a cure.
Not as a fix.

But as a way to support the nervous system in returning to balance.

Many people come to Reiki when:

  • They feel mentally tired but can’t rest
  • Their body feels tense without a clear reason
  • they’re emotionally drained
  • They’ve been “holding it together” for too long

Reiki works gently — meeting you where you are, without pushing or analyzing.

When You Don’t Need a Big Reason

You don’t need to be in crisis to receive Reiki.

Sometimes the reason is simply:

“I don’t want to feel like this anymore.”

That’s enough.

If this resonates, you can learn more about the Reset Session — Reiki for Stress & Nervous System Support on the Energy Healing Services page. Sessions are available both online and in person in Northern Alberta.

Final note (this matters)

If you’re feeling that quiet resistance — the “I know this could help, but…” — you’re not doing anything wrong.

Often, that’s the moment right before relief.

Transform Anxiety with Remote Reiki Sessions

How Reiki Can Help with Anxiety — Without Talking, Explaining, or Even Leaving the House

Remote Reiki for Anxiety – Book Online from Anywhere

Feeling anxious or overwhelmed? Discover how a distance Reiki session can help you reset and relax — no talking, no travel. Book online from anywhere in the world.

If you’ve been searching for ways to calm your anxiety, quiet your mind, or feel like yourself again, you’re not alone.
And if nothing has worked yet, you’re not broken.
You’re just tired. Overwhelmed and wired but exhausted.
Your nervous system is doing its best to keep up, but it’s carrying more than it was designed for.

That’s where Reiki for anxiety can help. I call it a Reset.

You don’t need to talk.
You don’t need to explain.
You don’t need to leave your home.
And you don’t need to believe in anything mystical or spiritual.
All you need is a quiet space, a phone call, and permission to receive.

Let me show you what that looks like.

What Actually Happens in a Remote Reiki Session

If you’ve never experienced distance Reiki before, here’s what to expect when you book a session with me — no pressure, no fluff:

1. You don’t have to tell me your whole story — but you can.
Before we begin, you’re welcome to share how you’re feeling — as much or as little as feels comfortable. Maybe you’re overwhelmed, carrying grief, feeling burnt out, or just want to relax. I’m open if you need to talk before or after, but it’s never required.

2. You lie down somewhere cozy and quiet.
Choose a place where you won’t be disturbed. Get comfy — blanket, pillow, soft lighting. This is your time to completely let go.

3. We don’t talk during the session — it’s silent.
You just relax. I offer Reiki energy, holding a calm, focused space for your system to unwind. There’s no music, no dialogue — just stillness.

4. You may feel something — or you may not. Both are normal.
Some people feel warmth, waves of emotion, tingling, dreamlike states, or a tear that comes out of nowhere. Others simply feel like they rested. Either way, the Reiki is still working. You don’t need to feel something big for it to be effective.

5. Afterwards, you can stay quiet or check in.
You might want to share what you experienced, ask a question, or simply rest in silence. There’s space for whatever you need. Some people feel really tired and need to rest. Others feel like they’ve just woken up and feel rejuvenated. Both are correct. Your body will let you know.

Can Reiki Really Help with Anxiety?

Yes — but not by “fixing” you.

What Reiki for anxiety does is gently support your nervous system. It shifts you from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. It gives your body space to reset.
In the middle of overwhelm, that can feel like a miracle — but really, it’s just biology.

Reiki doesn’t erase your problems.
It just helps your system stop bracing against life.

From there, everything gets easier to manage:

  • Your thoughts slow down
  • Your muscles soften
  • Your breath deepens
  • You feel a bit more like you again

You might not even realise how much tension you’ve been carrying — until something gives you permission to let it go.

“But… I Don’t Really Get How It Works”

You don’t need to.
Honestly.

You don’t need to understand the history or techniques. You don’t need to believe in energy work. If you’ve booked a session, you’re already open enough to benefit.

And if you’re still a bit sceptical? I get it — I was too. I had a blah first experience years ago with a practitioner I didn’t connect with. It left me cold, and I wrote Reiki off as “just not for me.”
Years later, I gave it another try — and what I felt shocked me.
A wave of calm. A deep drop into rest.
And, for the first time in a long time, space to breathe.

That’s when I knew: this isn’t something you have to force. You just have to receive. It was wonderful. It is wonderful.

Even Just One Session Can Shift Something

One person I worked with had come in with a sore leg. We didn’t focus on the pain — we simply gave her nervous system space to relax.
Afterwards, she told me that her leg felt better and….

“I felt so relaxed and blissful — like I could just fly away.”

That’s what Reiki does.
It offers your body a moment of peace, a gentle reset.
And in that space, something soft and powerful begins to move.

Book a Reiki Session Online — From Anywhere in the World

One of the most beautiful things about Reiki is that it works across distance.
So whether you’re on a farm like me, in a big city, or tucked away in a quiet flat — we can connect.

Wherever you are in the world, I invite you to:

  • Find a quiet space
  • Book a time that suits you
  • And simply lie back and receive

Because you don’t have to fix everything.
You don’t have to do it all on your own.
You just have to pause.

Start 2026 Clear:

A bottle of Bouchet-Lemone Champagne sitting on a table with a floral tablecloth.

Reset Your Energy

Hi, I’m Michelle.

If you’ve been carrying stress, old patterns, or emotional heaviness into the new year, today is Day 1 of 2026 — the perfect moment to release what no longer serves you and start fresh. Let’s begin this year clear, calm, and grounded.

Through Reiki, SRT, and psychosomatic healing, I help people release what’s weighing them down and reconnect with their inner strength. These practices support emotional balance, nervous system regulation, and soul-level clearing, so you can feel lighter, clearer, and more aligned in the year ahead.

Why Resetting Your Energy Matters

  • Release old patterns: Let go of repeating cycles in relationships, self-doubt, or anxiety.
  • Reconnect with yourself: Tune into your body, your intuition, and your inner guidance.
  • Support emotional well-being: Start the year feeling grounded, calm, and steady.
  • Boost clarity and focus: When your energy flows freely, decisions, creativity, and motivation come naturally.

3 Simple Ways to Start Fresh Today

  1. Breathe consciously: Take 10 deep breaths and notice tension leaving your body. You can do this multiple times a day.
  2. Move your energy: Stretch, walk outside, or gently move to shift stagnant energy. You can do this multiple times a day.
  3. Set intentions: Journal what you want to release and what you want to invite into your life this year.

For a deeper reset, book a Reiki, SRT, or psychosomatic session — online or in-person in Northern Alberta — to start 2026 feeling truly supported, recharged, and in flow.

“If you’ve been carrying too much into the new year, today is the perfect day to reset. Book a session to release what’s weighing you down and step into 2026 feeling clear, grounded, and supported.”
